NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGY

Introducing the Q22, the next generation of Quantek analyzers. This analyzer utilizes the latest in microprocessor based sampling, and comes equipped with an advanced TFT display, smart charging, onboard data collection, advanced pump functions, and EasyCal calibration controls.

LONG :LIFE, STABLE SENSORS

The Model Q22 incorporates the latest fast response O2 and CO2 sensors, which allows results to be obtained in 15-25 seconds for rapid spot checks. The oxygen sensor is rated for 5 years of life, which is far better than the competition. Other analyzers utilize cheap oxygen sensors which may last 18-24 months.

EASY SAMPLING METHOD

Our standard sample probe assembly for food package testing connects to the Model Q22 – this sample probe is interchangeable with all of our other analyzers, and is a durable double tubed, single piece.
The probe is tipped with a liquid blocking filter and tri-beveled, non coring needle. The filter will block liquid and particle intake into the analyzer, and the needle is specially designed to prevent “coring”, or plugging, and is incredibly tough.

USER FRIENDLY, ACCESSIBLE CONTROLS

Navigate the user-friendly interface, and you can adjust the oxygen span, pump time, CO2 span, and other parameters on the fly. There’s no need to reboot and no need to warmup – it’s as easy as it gets.

ABOUT THE SENSORS

The infrared CO2 sensor utilizes NDIR technology for maximum stability, and has a theoretically unlimited lifespan. Its ultra low power consumption allows for 10-14 hours of runtime for the analyzer before recharging is required.
It has no moving parts, no consumables, and is housed in a compact optical cell. The sensor responds to CO2 only.
The electrochemical O2 sensor life is typically 4-5 years, unlike other analyzers with an electrochemical sensor that last 1-2 years. When required, replacement is easy and inexpensive.
Both sensors are unaffected by high levels of background gases such as nitrogen.

WARRANTY STATEMENT

The Quantek Model 902D is a benchtop oxygen and CO2 headspace analyzer, primarily used for gas flushed food packages. Achieve accurate oxygen and carbon dioxide measurements in 20-25 seconds.
This headspace analyzer contains an internal pump to draw in sample from your package and display O2 and CO2 concentration results in 30 seconds.

The expected oxygen sensor life is typically 5 years, unlike other analyzers with a sensor that last 1-2 years, reducing total cost of ownership, and analyzer downtime.

EASY SAMPLING & ANALYSIS

The Model 902D analyzer sample probe is tipped with a particulate filter and luer fit syringe needle with side-port holes to prevent plugging. When the pump is activated, sample is drawn through the probe and tubing and then to the oxygen sensor.

The pump is electronically timed to draw in the precise amount of sample required for the analysis, and then turns itself off after the pre-set sampling time (5 to 10 seconds). The O2 and CO2 concentration is read on the display within 20-25 seconds.

ABOUT THE SENSORS

The solid-state infrared CO2 sensor has no moving parts, a compact optical cell, and microprocessor-based calibration factors using a 6th order polynomial equation and 32 bit processor to linearize the full range measurement up to 100%.

Both sensors are unaffected by high levels of background gases such as nitrogen.

The expected life of the CO2 sensor is theoretically unlimited, as it contains no moving parts.

The expected electrochemical O2 sensor life is typically 5 years, unlike other analyzers with an electrochemical sensor that last 1-2 years.

ABOUT THE PUMP

The rugged miniature diaphragm pump has electronically controlled timing function to operate only when sampling. It provides high flow rate and long operating life.

The pump is electronically timed to draw in the amount of sample required for the analysis, and then turns itself off after the pre-set sampling time (5 to 10 seconds).

OPTIONAL RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

If equipped with the optional battery, the 902D can within transported to your facility to conduct testing with no AC outlet available. Totally sealed, long-life battery (optional) accepts full or partial charging cycle. Charger module plugs into standard 115V outlet for charging or continuous operation, though it can accept 100-240V for worldwide use.

MICROPROCESSOR/ELECTRONICS

Micro-processor based electronics provide sensor signal processing, battery charging, pump timing and on/off control for high accuracy and reliability with minimal component use and reduced size and cost.

Model 902P O2 / CO2 Analyzer

admin

O2 and CO2 Analyzer for research processes, gas blending, biotech, and other systems.
The Model 902P O2 CO2 analyzer measures 0 to 100% O2 concentrations, and 0-1% to 0-100% CO2 vol/vol full scale, in a variety of process, research, and biotech applications. Options include internal sample pump, battery operation, analog outputs, and complete data collection option (including analysis software for long term experiments).

EASE OF SAMPLING

Sample flows into the analyzer through the front panel fitting, and vents out through an exhaust port on the back panel. The exhaust port can also be equipped with a connectible luer fit connection, should you wish to keep your system closed. The recommended flow rate is 50 cc/min, although the analyzer can accept 10 to 1000 cc/min without adversely affecting the response time or readings.

The sensor operates at atmospheric pressure, and a flow bypass in the internal plumbing arrangement allows for excess pressure to vent. This allows for higher acceptable flow rates, without affecting the accuracy of your measurements.

NO SOURCE OF FLOW OR POSITIVE PRESSURE? NO PROBLEM.

For systems where a source of sample flow (or positive pressure) is not available, the Model 902P can be equipped with an optional internal miniature diaphragm pump with an on-off switch on the front panel. This pump draws about 5 cc/second from your chamber, experiment, room, or system.

The pump is electronically controlled to operate only when sampling, and can be adjusted to run for 2-12 seconds per button press. Furthermore, if you equip the analyzer with the pump, you can still introduce sample directly into the inlet fitting without pressurizing the analyzer or affecting your readings.

The pump is electronically timed to draw in the amount of sample required for the analysis, and then turns itself off after the pre-set sampling time (2 to 12 seconds). Advanced optional pump controls include two mode pump switch (for continuous pump or timed operation), cycling pump (set to run for x seconds on, x seconds off), or concentration activated pump (pump turns on when O2 or CO2 goes above or below preset limit).

INTERNAL, USER-REPLACEABLE MOISTURE TRAP FILTER

While the sample introduced should be clean and dry (non-condensing), should moisture enter the analyzer, the Model 902P is equipped with an internal moisture trap filter. This provides a last barrier of protection, and is user-replaceable (we provide spares).

ABOUT THE CO2 SENSOR

The Model 902P uses a solid-state infrared CO2 sensor which has no moving parts, a compact optical cell, and microprocessor-based calibration factors using a 6th order polynomial equation to linearize the full range measurement up to 100%. Infrared CO2 measurements are inherently non-linear, especially over a high range of concentrations. The math algorithm used in the 902P yields more accurate results over a much wider range of concentrations than other methods. The expected life of the CO2 sensor is theoretically unlimited, as it contains no moving parts.

The Model 902P CO2 sensor combines cutting edge 32-bit digital signal processing with the solid reliability, compact size and state of the art microprocessor technology that makes this full-featured CO2 measurement system less complex and more robust than other instrumentation.

ABOUT THE O2 SENSOR

The Model 902P uses a long-life heavy duty electrochemical O2 sensor, with an expected lifetime of 5 years. Other electrochemical O2 sensors have an expected life of 1-2 years.

BACKGROUND GAS

Both the CO2 and O2 sensors are unaffected by high levels of background gases such as nitrogen. The O2 sensor is unaffected by high levels of CO2, and vice versa.

ABOUT THE MICROPROCESSOR/ELECTRONICS

Micro-processor based electronics provide sensor signal processing, battery charging, pump timing and on/off control for high accuracy and reliability with minimal component use and reduced size and cost.

ABOUT THE OPTIONAL BATTERY

With its low power requirement, the Model 902P can be operated with an optional battery for those applications where AC power is not readily available, or for convenience if spot checking samples at different locations. A totally sealed, long-life internal 12 Vdc battery accepts a full or partial charging cycle and will operate the unit for up to 8 hours. The charger module plugs into a standard 110-240V outlet for charging or continuous operation. Alternatively, the unit can be powered from an external 12-24 Vdc source.

ABOUT THE WARRANTY

The Model 902P is backed it up with a two year warranty, twice the industry standard. The advanced design allows an output requiring less frequent calibration. It provides a stable, drift-free linearized voltage or current output that is much less susceptible to external electro-magnetic interference than conventional analog electronics.
